Lighting a Darkened World

Since 1973, a union of Christ-centered churches and God's people have been working together to minister to our community in the love of our Lord. More commonly known by its acronym, DUCO, this local outreach includes:

  • Partners E-mail Network (PEN):
          strengthening an integrated response to those in need via this communications link
  • Seeding New Attitudes and Planning for Self-Sufficiency (SNAPS):
         emergency financial aid (for life essentials);
         personal budget assessment/education,
         case management including advocacy and resource referrals
  • Financial Accountability Increase Their Hope (FAITH) Mentorship:
          extended one-on-one, tailored financial counseling
  • Pantry Program:
         fuel for the body - emergency food and related referrals
  • Seeds of Unconditional Love (SOUL):
         food for the soul - holistic ministering, support in seeking a home faith community
  • Housing Opportunities Made Easy (HOMESeek):
         housing and shelter referrals
  • Transportation Aid Program:
         gifts of transportation to/from medical, employment and service appointments
  • Happy Huggables:
         cuddly, stuffed "friends" for children of families DUCO serves
  • Happ-i-Paks:
         year round educational/toy gift packages for children
  • Seeds of Service (SOS):
         sharing good news and needs of those DUCO serves and
         inviting prayers and positive action on their behalf
